"I filled in for a buddy who couldn't take his shift at a local club," says Doug Sandler, known affectionately by his clients as DJ Doug. "I had no I idea what I was doing, but being a DJ sure sounded like a fun idea. I figured if my friend could do it, so could I. My first record on the turntables was a Stevie Wonder tune call Sir Duke. From that point on, I was hooked!"

"I started by making $35 a night in a Club in College Park, Maryland to making $75 doing my first wedding. That was in 1985 before CD's became mainstream. I can remember lugging all those records around in the trunk of my car. Things have really changed."

"I have been very fortunate to hang out with just the group of professionals," Sandler says, adding, "I have had some amazing professionals in business and in entertainment train me how to do the right thing at the right time. Early on, my mentors had shown me that while playing music and games at a party is important, it is nowhere near as important as customer service. I would talk to fellow DJ's that I thought were amazing talents, but they'd only be working 2 or 3 gigs a month. What I have found out about many of them is that they are very difficult to deal with," Sandler says. " I hope, if there is one thing that all my clients come away with from dealing with me, it's that I care about making their function the best one ever!"

DJ Doug and his team are committed to making your function the best one ever as well. All of DJ Doug's team are personally trained by him. "There is no shortcut to success in this industry. We build our reputation one great function after another."
